Peg & Point is an archery scoring, training and club companion app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to the Peg & Point mobile app, web companion/dashboard, and related online services.

1. Summary

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not show advertising in Peg & Point.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

At the moment, the main personal information we collect is your name and email address, used so you can sign in and use Peg & Point features such as app login, club membership, web dashboard access, and event/shoot records.

2. Information we collect

When you create or use a Peg & Point account, we may collect:

Name

Email address

Login/account identifier

Club membership or club association inside Peg & Point

App/account settings

Archery and app data

When you use Peg & Point, you may create or store information such as:

Shoot records

Scores

Course records

Target notes

Bow setups

Equipment notes

Badge progress

Club event participation

Club leaderboards or shared club statistics, where enabled

Some of this information may be linked to your account so it can be shown in the app, synced to the web dashboard, or shared with a club if you choose to join or opt in to club features.

Club and event data

If you join a club or take part in a club event through Peg & Point, we may process:

Your name or display name

Your event attendance

Your scores and shoot records for that event

Your club association

Your leaderboard position or event result

Clubs may have their own rules about how results are displayed. Peg & Point aims to provide controls for club sharing and visibility where possible.

Technical information

We may process limited technical information needed to run, secure and improve the service, such as:

Login/session information

Error reports

Basic device/app information

Server logs

Security and abuse-prevention records

This information is used to keep Peg & Point working, diagnose bugs, protect accounts, and improve reliability.

3. Information we do not collect

Peg & Point does not currently collect:

Payment card details

Precise live GPS location for normal scoring

Advertising identifiers for ad targeting

Contact lists

SMS or call logs

Health information

Biometric data

If future features require new types of data, this policy will be updated before those features are released.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your Peg & Point account

Let you sign in to the app and web dashboard

Save and display your shoots, scores, courses and stats

Provide club and event features

Show leaderboards and shared club/event results where enabled

Sync data between the app and web companion

Provide support if you contact us

Diagnose bugs and improve the app

Keep the service secure

Comply with legal or platform requirements

5. Lawful basis for processing

For users in the UK and similar data protection regions, we process personal data under the following lawful bases where applicable:

We use your information where it is necessary to provide Peg & Point features you have requested, such as account login, score storage, club membership, event participation and web dashboard access.

Legitimate interests

We may use limited technical and usage information to maintain, secure and improve Peg & Point, provided this does not override your privacy rights.

Consent

Where a feature asks for your permission, such as sharing certain data with a club or enabling optional future features, we will rely on your consent where appropriate. You can withdraw consent where the app provides that control.

We may process or retain information where required by law, regulation, tax, accounting, security or app-platform obligations.

6. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited information only where needed to operate Peg & Point, such as:

With service providers who host or support the app, database, authentication, analytics, error logging or web dashboard

With clubs you join or events you participate in, according to the relevant club/event sharing settings

Where required by law or to protect the security of Peg & Point and its users

Service providers are only allowed to process information as needed to provide their services to Peg & Point.

7. Club sharing and leaderboards

If you join a club or participate in an event, some information may be visible to club admins or other participants, such as:

Your name or display name

Your club membership status

Your event attendance

Your shoot result

Your leaderboard position

Club/event statistics based on your submitted scores

Where possible, Peg & Point will provide controls for club opt-in, visibility and sharing.

If you do not want your personal data or scores shown in club features, contact us or use any available in-app sharing controls.

8. Data storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Peg & Point may store data using third-party cloud providers and app infrastructure services. Data may be processed on servers located in the UK, Europe or other countries depending on the service providers used.

No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

In general:

Account data is kept while your account is active.

Shoot, score, course and club data is kept while needed to provide app and web features.

Event result data may be retained as part of club/event records unless deletion is requested or required.

Support messages may be kept for a reasonable period to help resolve issues.

Technical logs may be kept for security, debugging and reliability purposes.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, dispute-resolution or legitimate operational reasons.

10. Account deletion and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Peg & Point account and associated personal data by contacting:

Please include the email address linked to your Peg & Point account.

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable period. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legitimate club/event record purposes.

If Peg & Point includes an in-app account deletion feature, you can also use that feature to request or start deletion.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you

Correct inaccurate information

Request deletion of your information

Object to certain processing

Restrict certain processing

Request a copy of your data

Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

12. Children and juniors

Peg & Point is intended for general archery use and is not directed at young children.

Archery clubs may include junior members. If junior participation is supported, clubs and responsible adults should ensure that any junior data is handled appropriately and that suitable permissions are in place.

We aim to provide privacy-conscious settings for club and event visibility, especially where junior archers may be involved.

13. Third-party services

Peg & Point may use third-party services to operate the app and web companion, such as:

Error logging

Analytics or performance monitoring

Email delivery

Payment processing, if paid features are added in future

Peg & Point does not currently show advertising.

Peg & Point does not sell personal data.

If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before any such change is introduced.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Peg & Point develops.

If we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date at the top of this policy, showing a notice in the app or web dashboard, or contacting users where appropriate.
